baptism with the holy spirit sermons

What is the importance of Christian baptism?

Christian baptism is one of two ordinances that Jesus instituted for the church. Just before His ascension, Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20). These instructions specify that the church is responsible to teach Jesus’ word, make disciples, and baptize those disciples. These things are to be done everywhere (“all nations”) until “the very end of the age.” So, if for no other reason, baptism has importance because Jesus commanded it.

Baptism was practiced before the founding of the church. The Jews of ancient times would baptize proselytes to signify the converts’ “cleansed” nature. John the Baptist used baptism to prepare the way of the Lord, requiring everyone, not just Gentiles, to be baptized because everyone needs repentance. However, John’s baptism, signifying repentance, is not the same as Christian baptism, as seen in Acts 18:24–26 and 19:1–7. Christian baptism has a deeper significance.

revival conference

What is Christian revival?

Revival refers to a spiritual reawakening from a state of dormancy or stagnation in the life of a believer. It encompasses the resurfacing of a love for God, an appreciation of God’s holiness, a passion for His Word and His church, a convicting awareness of personal and corporate sin, a spirit of humility, and a desire for repentance and growth in righteousness. Revival invigorates and sometimes deepens a believer’s faith, opening his or her eyes to the truth in a fresh, new way. It generally involves the connotation of a fresh start with a clean slate, marking a new beginning of a life lived in obedience to God. Revival breaks the charm and power of the world, which blinds the eyes of men, and generates both the will and power to live in the world but not of the world.

In the USA, the first revival, also called the First Great Awakening, produced an upsurge of devotion among Protestants in the 1730s and 1740s, carving a permanent mark on American religion. It resulted from authoritative preaching that deeply moved the church members with a convicting awareness of personal guilt and the awesome nature of salvation through Christ. Breaking away from dry ritual and rote ceremony, the Great Awakening made Christianity intensely personal to the average person, as it should be, by creating a deep emotional need for relationship with Christ.

lent days videos

What is Lent and why does it last forty days?

Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Lent comes from the Anglo Saxon word lencten, which means “spring.” The forty days represents the time Jesus spent in the wilderness, enduring the temptation of Satan and preparing to begin his ministry.

Lent is a time of repentance, fasting and preparation for the coming of Easter. It is a time of self-examination and reflection. In the early church, Lent was a time to prepare new converts for baptism. Today, Christians focus on their relationship with God, often choosing to give up something or to volunteer and give of themselves for others.

Sundays in Lent are not counted in the forty days because each Sunday represents a “mini-Easter” and the reverent spirit of Lent is tempered with joyful anticipation of the Resurrection.

Brother Shyam Kishore Messages

Bro.Shyam Kishore Testimony

” The man of God K. Shyam Kishore is renowned in the modern Christendom as a televangelist, miracle worker, the preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Pastor of JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH MINISTRIES church. Which according to the church growth is one of the largest and fastest growing churches in India.

In 1993, God has visited Pastor Shyam and revealed his divine purpose towards him, since then, Pastor Shyam’s thoughts have been sublimed with the Spirit of God.

In 2004, He established Jesus Christ of Nazareth ministries (church), with just four members. The preaching with divine disclosures has attracted many not just only to know God, but also to experience HIM in their daily life. As he strongly believed that, “the KINGDOM of GOD is not in word, but in POWER.” He started exercising healing and miracles in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ and many have experienced healing in their bodies, miracles took place in many lives.

The exoteric way of preaching and expounding the word of God by the man of God vivifies everyone in the congregation. A revolutionary act of impartation of gifts and open demonstration of the POWER of GOD in the congregation has wiped off all the myths, and proved that FAITH is all we need to access HIM and HIS spiritual gifts not the deeds of flesh.

The Spiritual intimacy with God reveals his heart and his will; in the same way, God has revealed a great mystery of the church and the core responsibility of it to bring down all the enemies under her feet, i.e. “The Death under the feet of the church.” Once again, this mystery has been unfolded to the man of GOD Shyam. As earlier, the HOLY GHOST did reveal it to the king David and to the Prophets of God Almighty.

In 2013, the man of God had published the arcana of God in the Church, so that an effulgence of the church be revealed to the world. This is not only a key for the church to live a victorious and fearless life here on earth, it’s also to prepare the way for the LORD Jesus Christ for his second coming!

Since then, the JCNM church is vigorously praying for this vision to be fulfilled, in this course, God is also approving it with the signs and wonders, like, raising the dead, and people getting new organs etc.

This elucidates what kind of the morale this church have in God Almighty.

Brother Praveen Kumar Messages

Pastor Praveen

Greetings to you in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am Reddimalla Praveen Ratna Kumar. I was born on 15th May, 1973, in Bellampalli, Adilabad, District of Andhra Pradesh, in South India. I was born to Mrs Lee Alexander and Mr.E.Alexander, who worked in Singareni Colleries Company as Mining officer. My grandfather Rev.Reddimalla Gyana Ratnam, served God in C.S.I, Dornakal diocese

Though I was brought up in a Christian family, I didn’t know anything about Lord Jesus Christ. I thought that I could enter into heaven as I had a Christian background. So with that pride, I never went to sunday school or church. After completion of my Degree in Wesley College, Hyderabad, I returned back to my native place Belampally. As my father was in an officer’s position at his work I had access to money, friends and free facilities and so used to spend all my time with friends in clubs, parks and play grounds. Even when I did not know God, He protected me and prevented from getting into any bad habits other than spending time with friends and involving in unnecessary matters. Bellamapally was famous as Naxalite controlled area and because of our misbehavior in the society, they warned us. But we didn’t listen to them. One day they attacked us. So I left my native place and ran away to Hyderabad to save my life. I had no food or shelter. I lived on the streets, slept in bus stands and parks. My daily food was two bananas and water. I was abandoned by every one and no one consoled me or encouraged me. I attempted suicide three times but did not succeed

Accidentally one day I came across Vishwavani meetings in S.P.G grounds, Secunderabad (the main speaker was Bro. BVD Joshi and Vijay Kumar, Kakinada). I knew that dinner would be served after the meeting, so I went there just to have dinner. At that time I had not eaten any food for the last three days. I was sitting at one corner of the ground without any interest towards the message and was waiting to have dinner after the meeting. But through that message, The Holy Spirit God opened my eyes and showed me all my faults. I immediately confessed my sins and realized that I was a sinner and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. On 23rd Jan 1993, at 9:15 p.m., I told God that “God if you lift me up from this pit, I will serve you and I will die for you” Just two days after that, I got a job as a store in charge in Deccan Continental, a Five star hotel in Hyderabad. I got a good fellowship in Kukatpally. My spiritual Mother, Rev.Ratna Manikyam of Lords Grace Church, used to encourage me a lot. I was working as an Evangelist along with my job. I got married in the year 1995 with Ramadevi, who was saved from a Hindu family and is a good believer. She is working as a staff nurse in Indian Railways, Bellampally. After my marriage along with the ministry, I started a travel business with an auto and a Jeep. I went through major financial crisis of a loss of 4.5 lakhs in the business. We both went through a major depression and disposed off the vehicles. God taught me many lessons in whatever I did and wherever I went. I surrendered myself totally and came to full time ministry on 9th Dec, 1999 Dec.

God blessed us with a beautiful church by our aunty Srilatha Sundaram. The Church started with three people in the first meeting. God touched many people through our ministry. Many people were delivered from demonic spirits, sickness, troubles, financial crisis, family problems etc. God blessed us gradually and now we have moved to a new church building in the same premises which can now accommodate 1000 people. We also have a Bible school, a 24 hour Prayer Tower and a T.V. ministry. My desire is to conduct Revival meetings in every District in Andhra Pradesh. Till now we have reached Eight districts on a regular monthly program. My Vision is to start a home for the aged and an orphanage. My desire is to reach our Nation and lift the Banner of Jesus Christ.

God blessed me with two children Abishek, Akshaya and with a spiritual son Stephen who shoulders and shares the burden and responsibility of this ministry. So, pray for us and our Ministry. May God richly bless you all.

Pastor R. Praveen
