A Powerful Testimony – Leonard Ravenhill
In Leonard Ravenhill’s classic work on revival, “Why Revival Tarries,” he is described in the forward by A.W. Tozer in this way:
[Ravenhill] cannot turn off the burden of the Holy Ghost as one would turn off a faucet. He insists upon being a Christian all the time, everywhere; and again, that marks him out as different.
Tozer then goes on to say:
Toward Leonard Ravenhill it is impossible to be neutral. His acquaintances are divided pretty neatly into two classes, those who love and admire him out of all proportion and those who hate him with perfect hatred.
That is a powerful testimony! I pray that I would be someone who insists upon being a Christian all the time and everywhere. May we be different today because of our dedication and devotion to Jesus Christ! We must not forget though, a life sold out to Christ will make it impossible for people to be neutral in relating to us (2 Timothy 3:12).
